London Transit resumed front-door boarding on the Conventional service and the collection of fares on both Conventional and Specialized services on Wednesday August 19, 2020.

The Commission’s priority throughout the pandemic has been the safety of our employees and passengers. With the installation of the Operator barriers, the return to front door boarding on our Conventional service is now possible.

Passengers will be required to enter through the front door and exit through the back door to promote a one-direction flow. Passengers with accessibility needs will still be permitted to use the front door to exit.

Fare Options

No monthly passes will be available for August.

For the period of August 19th to August 31st tickets, cash or stored value on a Smart Card will be accepted with transfers being issued as required. A reminder that stored value works like tickets and that transfers are automatically loaded on to the card.

All Smart Card holders can add stored value to their cards and can do so online. Please remember to allow 24 hours for your card to update with online transactions.

September monthly passes will be available for purchase beginning August 15; passengers are encouraged to load these online. If visiting a London Transit location, consider purchasing your pass prior to the last week of the month to avoid long line-ups.

London Transit locations – All fare options are available for purchase

150 Dundas – Monday to Friday: 7:30am to 7:00pm, Saturday: 8:30am to 6:00pm

450 Highbury – Monday to Friday: 8:30am to 10:00pm, Saturday/Sunday/Holidays: 8:30am to noon and 1:00pm to 4:30pm

Given COVID-19 restrictions to allow for physical distancing, the number of people permitted in our ticket offices has been reduced and long line-ups are expected at both locations – especially the last week of the month.

We encourage those who can to load stored value and your monthly pass on your Smart Card.

City of London locations – Youth passes and Income-related passes can be purchased

City Hall – Monday to Friday: 8:30am to 4:30pm

Citi Plaza – Wednesdays and Friday: 11:00am to 2:00pm, the last two days of the month: 9:00am to noon and 1:00pm to 4:00pm

South London Community Pool – Monday to Friday: 6:00am to 9:00pm,

Saturday and Sunday: 1:00pm to 4:00pm

Canada Games Aquatic Centre – Monday to Sunday: 7:30am to 9:00pm

Local Vendors – visit your local ticket vendors to purchase your tickets.

Masks/Face Coverings

As per Middlesex London Health Unit (MLHU) Section 22 Order all passengers are required to wear masks/face coverings on transit.

Note that Bus Operators are not required to wear masks/face coverings when behind Operator barriers.

Please be respectful and show some kindness to those, passengers or bus Operators, who are unable to wear masks or face coverings. Individuals are not required to explain or prove their exemption. Please remember to be understanding as we all work through these adjustments.
