This year, like in previous years, there are a large number of construction projects being undertaken by the City of London, many of which will have impacts on routes and schedule adherence.
See below the top ten major construction projects for this year detailing that are anticipated to have an impact on our service. The list also indicates the anticipated duration of the projects and Routes affected.
2021 Transit Impacts of Summer Construction Projects
Downtown Loop Phase I – King Street between Ridout and Wellington
- Impacted Routes: 2, 3, 5, 7, 9, 12, 13, 19, 20, 90, 94 & 102
- Duration: April 5- December 2021
Adelaide Street North Underpass – Adelaide between Central to McMahen
- Impacted Route: 16
- Duration: 2020 – 2021
Dundas Old East Village – Dundas between Adelaide and English
- Impacted Routes: 2, 20 & 94
- Duration: 2021-2022
Dundas Street Thames Valley Parkway Connection – Kensington Bridge
- Impacted Routes: 2, 9, 12, 19, 20, 94, 102, 106
- Duration: April 5- July 2021
Wenige Expressway Bridge Renewal – Highbury Ave between Hamilton Rd and the south branch of the Thames River
- Impacted Route: 10
- Duration: March 15- December 2021
Brydges Street Reconstruction – Brydges between Egerton and Highbury
- Impacted Route: Impacts to buses leaving and returning to the Highbury garage. Greatest impact will be during phase 2 with the closure of the Brydges and Oakland intersection

- Phase 1- Egerton to Childers- Late Spring- Late Fall 2021
- Phase 2- Childers to Highbury Spring-Fall 2022
Brydges/Wavell Bike Lane – Brydges/Wavell between Highbury and Clarke Road
- Impacted Route: 7
- Duration: Late Spring 2021- End of 2021
Mornington Storm Management Pond Expansion – Salisbury Street from Quebec Street to Glasgow Street, Glasgow Street from Salisbury Street to Connaught Avenue, and Connaught Avenue from Glasgow Street to the west entrance of McCormick Park
- Impacted Route: 20
- Duration: Spring – Fall 2021
Note that the overall impacts of the construction are anticipated to cause schedule adherence issues for surrounding routes, due to other vehicles being detoured away from the construction area.
