The first phase of the Rapid Transit Downtown Loop has begun construction.  Phase 1 of construction is along King Street between Ridout and Wellington.

All routes operating along King Street (2, 3, 5, 7, 9, 12, 13, 19, 20, 90, 94, 102 and 106) are detoured to York Street.  While the construction along King will be broken down into smaller sub-phases, transit routes will continue to be detoured to York Street between Ridout and Wellington for the entire construction period to provide a consistent detour for passengers.

During the King Street construction the following detours are in place

Routes 2, 20 & 94 South on Ridout, left on York, left on Wellington, right on Dundas to regular route

Route 3 – West on Queens, Left on Ridout, Left on York, Right on Wellington to Regular Route

Routes 13 & 90– South on Richmond, Right on Queens, Left on Ridout, Left on York, Right on Wellington to Regular Route

Route 5- East on York, right on Wellington to Regular Route

Route 7- East on York, left on Wellington, right on King to regular route

Routes 9, 12, 19– South on Ridout, left on York, left on Wellington, left on Queens to regular route

Route 102– South on Richmond, right on Queens to regular route northbound

Route 106- South on Ridout, left on York, left on Wellington, left on Queens, right on Richmond to regular route northbound

Temporary stop locations are available at the following locations:

York at Ridout

York west of Talbot

York east of Richmond

York east of Clarence

York west of Wellington
