Approved Routing
The routing changes will straighten Route 1 allowing faster travel times for passengers travelling through the areas. It also requires fewer buses to serve the Route, allowing resources to be reallocated to other areas of the network to increase frequency.
The changes include the removal of Route 1 service on Richmond, Oxford, Huron and Regent (see Route 27). Route 1 will instead operate along Colborne, Cheapside and Adelaide
Southbound, Route 1 will operate on Horton St, Colborne St and Grey St. through the SoHo area. The northbound routing in this area will remain the same.
North of Victoria Hospital, the Route will no longer serve the Rowntree Park neighbourhood, removing service along Fairview, Alexandra, Raywood, Trevithen and Bond, instead operating along Wellington Rd. and Base Line Rd.
