Effective March 1, 2023 London Transit riders are permitted to ride with small domestic pets that meet the following criteria:
- Small domestic pets that are transported in a fully enclosed pet-purpose carrier/cage
- The cage/carrier must fit in the lap or under the seat/at feet of the rider
- Small domestic pets are defined as a mammal or bird (ex. cats, dogs, rabbits) this excludes all exotic pets (ex. snakes, lizards)
These limitations to pets does not apply to service/comfort animals. Service animals are permitted on the bus if working in aid of the person making the trip. A service animal must remain in the care and control of their owner at all times.
