Getting across the city takes a bit longer during summer construction season, that’s why London Transit will be helping riders with these delays by extending the transfer period from 90 to 120 minutes during the busiest construction period starting on Tuesday July 1st until Sunday August 31st.
During this time, cash, ticket or stored value smart card riders will be provided, upon request, with a paper transfer good for two hours to help get them to their destination on one fare.
IMPORTANT: Stored value smart card users must ask for a paper transfer at time of boarding. The transfer that is automatically added to the smart card will not be changed from 90 to 120 minutes. When boarding the next bus, the paper transfer should be presented and the smart card should not be tapped. We apologize for any inconvenience.
