Salary, per the Collective Agreement
Starting rate of $31.29 per hour, rising to $36.57 per hour after two years. Night shifts add a $1.50 per hour premium.

Requirements
- G class Ontario Driver’s License with zero demerit points (mandatory upgrade to C License) we will take care of upgrading you to a C License!
- Air Brake Endorsement (Z) (required prior to start date)
- Grade 12 Education or Equivalent (This document must meet the criteria for acceptable proof of Grade 12 or the equivalent)
- One year of hands-on basic mechanical skills, use of power tools, experience working on vehicles, etc.
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work midnight shifts – 11:00pm to 7:00am
Job Description
- Service, clean, and perform minor repairs on fleet vehicles (e.g., lights, mirrors, wipers); act as lead hand when assigned
- Change and replenish engine, transmission, differential, cooling, and hydraulic fluids, and lubricate fleet vehicles
- Remove and replace wheels and rims (with appropriate training); assist skilled tradespersons as required
- Carry out service calls, bus change-offs, and out-of-service calls
- Clean and maintain plant, equipment, and grounds, including scrap/garbage removal, snow shoveling, and salting sidewalks
- Operate forklift, skid steer, bobcat, and sweeper/scrubber (with proper training); other duties as assigned
