Income-Related Bus Pass Program

On December 19, 2016, City Council approved an income-related transit pass as part of its current subsidized transit program eligible for qualified residents only.

How to apply

There are four ways to apply:

  1. Apply online for the Income-Related Transit Program
  2. Paper applications are available and can be picked up and returned to any of the City of London’s Social Service offices:
  • Social Services-Citi Plaza 355 Wellington Street Suite #248, 2nd Floor South Wing
  • Social Services-Westmount Shopping Centre, 785 Wonderland Rd. S
  • Social Services-London East, 1835 Dundas St.
  • Social Services-Northland Mall, 1275 Highbury Ave.
  • Social Services-South London Community Centre, 1119 Jalna Blvd.

Program Eligibility

To qualify for this new program, you must meet all of the following criteria:

  1. You are a resident of London
  2. You are 18+ years of age (this means that seniors with low-income will be eligible to purchase a subsidized transit pass through this program)
  3. Current income is below Low Income Cut Off After-Tax (LICO-AT) – visit City of London website for more details.

*If a resident is in receipt of Ontario Works, they should contact their caseworker. Assistance with transportation costs may be available through Ontario Works.

You can purchase your bus pass at the following locations only and the online reloading feature is not available:

Please bring government issued ID when purchasing your bus pass.
