Re: Highbury Facility Roof Repair – Contract Award
Recommendation
The Commission CONFIRM a contract award to Thomas Roofing London Ltd, for the replacement of a section of roof of the B-Barn at the Highbury facility, at a total cost of $119,000 excluding applicable taxes.
Background
In early April, several leaks were discovered in the roof of the B-Barn at the Highbury facility. Upon inspection it was discovered that a section of the roof suffered damage over the previous winter and is in need of immediate repair.
Administration has obtained three quotes for the required work, which are set out in the table below.

The quotes include the labour and materials required to install a new roof on the section of the building where the damage occurred. This work can be accommodated within the annual capital budget program which supports the maintenance of the Highbury and Wonderland facilities.
The Commission was polled via email to obtain approval to proceed with a contract award to Thomas Roofing London Ltd so that work could get underway as soon as possible. This report recommendation confirms the approval received via email.
Work on this project is underway, and is anticipated to be completed by mid-July.
