Reporting to the Director of Planning, the Transit Planning Technician is responsible for preparing and managing short and long term detours as a result of construction, special events, etc. They will also be assisting with the development and recommendations of short, medium and long-term policies and programs impacting the delivery of the transportation service; this includes levels of service, service routing and nature/type of service to be provided, with such programs and policies being consistent with the London Transit Business Plan, Long Term Growth Strategy, City’s Official Plan and Transportation Plan.
Salary:
Range of $31.60 to $39.50 per hour based on skills and experience

Requirements:
- Completed a minimum of a two-year post-secondary program in a related discipline (e.g. Planning and Urban development, Geography)
- One year of work-related experience is preferred
- Proficient computer skills including knowledge of GIS, Adobe and Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communicator with solid interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and service providers
- Detailed-oriented as well as able to focus on repetitive tasks for extended periods
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities within set deadlines
- Excellent problem-solver and well organized
