Reporting to the Manager of Service Integration in the Department of Specialized Transit Services working 40 hours per week, including weekends and holidays.
Salary:
Range of $29.41 to $36.76 per hour
General Duties:
- Assigns unscheduled trips, will calls and same-day bookings
- Monitors late/early vehicles and out of service vehicles and moves trips according to ensure on-time performance/schedule adherence.
- Records in the vehicle tablets and computer system when vehicles are out of service.
- Ensures all necessary communication regarding service levels are communicated accordingly
- Reviews service levels of all bus runs for optimum performance, efficiencies with trip allocations
- Work in coordination with the Subscription Bookings and Scheduler to find optimum efficiencies with trip allocations
- Maintains contact with Call Takers regarding booking conflicts, changes, cancellations, etc.
Data Management:
- Ensures all changes are fully documented and entered into scheduling software system as they occur
- Records all historical trip information as needed to the supervisor
- Documents any service trends that may impact efficiencies
- Documents any driver/passenger problems that may interrupt service
Other duties as required, up to and including assigned roles as shadow, scheduler, subscription booker and call taking
Required Qualifications, Skills & Abilities:
- OSSD or equivalent combined with one-year work-related experience in the area of dispatching.
- Proficient computer skills using a variety of software applications, including spreadsheet, word processing and database systems
- Ability to accurately complete tasks within the scope of pre-defined options available
- Effectively manage multiple priorities within work-related deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively deal with customers (internal & external) in a professional and courteous manner
- Familiarity with the London area
