IS Support Technician (Web Development and Content)

London Transit Commission is looking for a tech-savvy and detail-oriented IS Support Technician to join our Information Services team. In this role, you will be the primary owner of our organization’s web presence, keeping our website current, accessible, and aligned with our brand while collaborating with departments across the organization. You will be working in a collaborative, small-team environment where your contributions are visible and meaningful. This role offers the opportunity to own and shape the organization’s digital presence while growing your broader IT skills.

Duties are performed in compliance with LTC Policies and Procedures and applicable legislation, including OHSA and AODA.

Salary: 

 $32.55 – $40.69/hour

Salary range for the position is commensurate with skills and experience and includes a comprehensive pension and benefits program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining, updating, and developing our website using WordPress, including custom HTML coding where needed
  • Managing and publishing web content in collaboration with internal departments, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and compliance with organizational standards
  • Monitoring website performance, troubleshooting issues, and bringing forward recommendations based on current best practices
  • Supporting day-to-day IT operations, including help desk monitoring, equipment setup, hardware and software troubleshooting, and user support
  • Participating in a departmental on-call rotation, with the possibility of attending our facilities in person if required

Requirements:

  • Two-year post-secondary diploma in computer programming, software administration, or equivalent
  • Minimum two years of related experience, with WordPress website development being required
  • Hands-on experience with direct HTML coding (required)
  • Familiarity with MS Active Directory and MS Office
  • Experience with MS SQL Server, MS Access, Power BI, VMware, or Veeam is considered an asset
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines
