Recommendation

That the Committee confirm the dates for 2026 meetings based on the options listed.

Background

At its February 17, 2026 meeting the Committee requested that a poll be sent to members to determine a time and day of the week that might be more convenient for members. A poll which offered 10am, 11am or 1pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays was shared with members noting that the times selected fall within the off-peak period – a time of day when trips are more likely to be available on the specialized service.

The results of the survey indicated that there is an equal preference for 11am on Tuesdays or Thursdays, and for 1pm on Tuesdays. Administration is therefore offering the following:

The meetings that are indicated as “at the call of the Chair” are intended as place-holder dates only and will be confirmed closer to the date.

Once the dates are confirmed, the Committee Secretary will send calendar holds for these dates to all Committee members and will remove them in the event it has been determined that a meeting is not required.

Meetings may also be scheduled at the call of the Chair, in the case of emergent issues.
