Re: Contract Award – Asphalt Repair Wonderland Facility
Recommendation
That the Commission APPROVE the contract with Peters Paving relating to the replacement of the employee parking lot and repairs to the existing asphalt at the Wonderland Road facility at a cost of $146,363.00 exclusive of applicable taxes.
Background
As part of the work plan London Transit conducts audits of the asphalt conditions at both facilities. The original construction at the Wonderland facility was started back in 2008 which makes the parking lot 17 years old and, is beyond its useful life. The parking lot has been repaired several times over the past 10 years and now needs a full replacement along with new line painting.
When the Wonderland Road facility was first opened, it was not being used at maximum capacity. Going forward the use of the facility will be increasing resulting in the need for additional employee parking.
A request for quotation was issued for the required work at the Wonderland facility, and the following three quotations were received, noting the pricing is excusive of applicable taxes.

The report recommendation is to award a contract with the lowest quote, noting the project can be completed in the 2025 fiscal year within allocated budget.
